The best movers in Rhode Island & Mass! Not only did our move go smoothly from our house in Cranston - they did an amazing job packing our belongs into PODS for a cross country move. We had a lot of life changes come up and had to move our entire house from Rhode Island to the other side of the country, while keeping our belongings in PODS for about 6 months in between. We just recently were able to unpack the PODS and found that every single piece made it due to the excellent packing job by the Coutu Bros. team, we are so grateful! We also really appreciated that they showed up on time and were so friendly, it took one less thing off of our plate during a chaotic time for us. Highly recommend!

I had an excellent experience with Coutu Bros moving from Rhode Island to Florida. From start to finish, the process was seamless.Rob came out personally to do an in-home walkthrough and provided a clear, accurate estimate, which I really appreciated. He also checked in with me before the move to see if I needed help with packing or had any questions, which made me feel really taken care of. He was truly a pleasure to work with.On moving day, the team was incredibly professional, efficient, and clearly knew what they were doing. I had a one-bedroom apartment and they handled everything, including wrapping furniture, disassembling my bed, and loading the truck, in under two hours. I packed my own boxes, but they took care of all the furniture protection and heavy lifting.While my items were in transit, Rob stayed in touch and gave me daily updates on where everything was, which gave me a lot of peace of mind.Delivery in Florida was just as smooth. My items arrived quickly and were unloaded just as efficiently, again in under two hours.What stood out most was the level of care, communication, and how easy they made the entire move feel, especially for something long distance. I would absolutely recommend Coutu Bros to anyone looking for a reliable and professional moving experience.

The experience was dreadful, despite the initially friendly demeanor of the movers. They disassembled furniture haphazardly and were unable to reassemble it. To exacerbate the situation, a missing part required me to return to my old residence twice. The staff even requested that I drive them there to avoid taking the truck back, which I found unprofessional and irresponsible.They spent over an hour searching for the missing part and proceeded to bill me at the hourly rate during that time. The original quote was for three movers, but they sent four and charged me the higher rate. Both practices were highly unethical, especially since the expected time with three movers exceeded the actual time. The total charge was double that of a quoted move with a competitor. The staff suggested I had no reason to complain since a third party paid for the move, which was, to say the least, insulting.The piece of furniture in question was inexpensive but new. I attempted to fix it with brackets and reinforcements from a hardware store, but it still wobbled. Having moved myself several times, I have never lost a piece of furniture during a move. I wrote to the company, which refused to take responsibility and suggested I make a claim for the .60 cents per pound.I only used this moving company because it met the building’s requirements. I would advise anyone to use this company with caution, as their practices are unethical. At least for this move, they were unprofessional and refused to take responsibility for my loss. I could excuse the unprofessionalism and higher rate, if the service was exemplary, but it was far from it.

We did a move from the Rhode Island/CT line up to Massachusetts. The team was quick, efficient, and their prices were on par or lower than others. All of my pieces were wrapped and taken care of perfectly.Icing on the cake? They were a blast to work with! We got to crack jokes and have fun. My sister and brother-in-law just moved into their new condo today after a harrowing year of builder delays, living at their two kids homes between New York and Warwick - thank GOD for those girls and their families! But I digress.Today, they finally moved into their beautiful new condo. They used Coutu Bros. Moving & Storage to move their belongings from their storage unit to their new home. Carl, Nick B., and Brian did everything related to the move. They loaded the truck at the storage unit and then unloaded at the new place, but handled it all with care, professionalism, and courtesy.My sister is 79. A very young 79, but still. These guys were just so careful with their stuff and treated her and my brother-in-law with such care. They assembled whatever needed to be assembled, and made sure they needed nothing further before leaving.I highly recommend Coutu Bros. - and these three great guys - for all your moving needs!!!

We have been using Cotu Bros to handle our major moves for the last 10 years. Every time they have helped us out in a professional and friendly manner.This last move Carl , Nick B, Xavier and Ryan really pulled through moving some 300+ pound exercise equipment and a 9 x 4 couch which didn't fit in our elevator ( 4th floor apartment ).They moved them without complaint and with skill getting it too its new home.

We had a very pleasant experience moving a few cities away. We had already moved some of our things earlier in the week but left the tougher and larger items for the movers. Xavier, Carl, and Nick D.were up to the task. Not only did they move everything effortlessly and in less time than quoted, they were such nice people and made the process so much better. As an added bonus we probably had a significant amount more than we originally accounted for and they gladly took that as well without any issue. If we ever have to move again (which hopefully will not happen for many, many years) we will definitely be reaching out to Coutu again!!
